In January 2023 BIC Services were awarded the Gold EcoVadis Sustainability Rating medal, placing us in the 96th percentile of all companies rated by EcoVadis.  We are happy to extend access to our scorecard with our clients and prospective clients upon request.

In two short years, we have climbed from the 56th to 96th percentile, an impressive outcome that demonstrates that the EcoVadis is a powerful platform with impressive tangible real world outcomes for companies such as BIC who are committed to significant Sustainability outcomes.

NABERS accredited assessor

NABERS Accredited Assessors are sustainability consultants, trained and accredited to perform NABERS ratings. They carry out physical assessments of buildings to collect and verify data required to provide a NABERS rating.

NABERS is a star-rating system that allows you to compare the energy efficiency, water usage, indoor air quality, waste management, and carbon emissions of buildings.

Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) – validated Science Based Targets

The Science Based Targets initiative is a collaboration between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wildlife Fund (now known as WWF).

The SBTi drives ambitious climate action in the private sector by enabling companies to set science-based emissions reduction targets (SBTs).

BIC’s SBTs were validated by the SBTi in October 2021.

We have committed to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 and upstream scope 3 GHG emissions 42% by FY2030 from a FY2020 base year.

BIC Services also commits to increase annual sourcing of renewable electricity from 0% in FY2020 to 100% by FY2030.

Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) Member

Established in 2002, the GBCA’s purpose is to lead the sustainable transformation of the built environment, rating buildings, fit outs, and communities through Australia’s largest national, voluntary system – Green Star.

They educate industry, government practitioners and decision-makers, and promote green building programs, technologies, design practices and operations; and advocate policies and programs that support their vision and purpose.

Reconciliation Australia is an independent not-for profit organisation and lead body for reconciliation in Australia. They promote and facilitate reconciliation by building relationships, respect and trust between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The Supply Chain Sustainability School enables socially, environmentally, and economically sustainable supply chains for all organisations in Australia and New Zealand through open access to educational resources.

The School provided us with guidance in the development of our Modern Slavery response and is an ongoing source of ESG education and information.

SCSS Fellows like BIC Services contribute financially and through collaboration with like-minded organisations to build the skills of our supply chains and our employees and to enable The School’s learning resources to be available for free to everyone.

GreenPower – BIC Services is 100% powered by GreenPower

As part of our Science Based Targets commitment, Business Ambition for a 1.5°C future and to increase sourcing of renewable electricity to 100% by FY2030, we are purchasing GreenPower for 100% of electricity requirements for our Australian headquarters in Ryde and our Victoria state office in Melbourne.

GreenPower independently audits our electricity provider to ensure the right amount of renewable energy is fed into the grid on our behalf.

Facility Management Association (FMA)

The Facility Management Association is a peak national industry body for facilities management, representing and supporting professionals and organisations responsible for the operational management of Australia’s built environments. A primary focus of the FMA is to ensure the needs of professionals and organisations working in and dealing with facilities management are understood and considered in government and business policy formulation and decision making.
