Introducing Hazel Urdanegui, part of the BIC Operations Support team.

We asked Hazel to spare 5 minutes of her time to answer some questions.

How long have you been working at BIC for?

I have been working for BIC Services for just over a year.

What does your day look like?

My days are normally very busy with assisting the Area Managers and Site Managers with their admin, client queries and requests.

What’s the most important part of your role?

Supporting the Area Managers and Site Managers with their queries in a prompt and accurate manner and ensuring all client requests are actioned quickly. My job is to make sure the Manager’s have what they need to do their jobs effectively and efficiently.

What do you love most about working for BIC?

Everyone is so friendly, you really feel the warmth and kind nature from everyone. We are all very keen to support and help one another within the business. I believe if you work in a workplace where everyone works together as a team, the service delivery will be far more authentic and the end result will be a happier workplace.

What skills and tools do you need to work in the cleaning industry?

Working as an Operations Support role, I didn’t have any cleaning industry experience before I started working for BIC Services. I believe if you are happy who you work for, you will be happy in your role and eager to learn about the industry. All the learning occurs later, once you step into the industry. As BIC offer on-site training and support, I was given a good foundation to build on. In addition, ask as many questions as possible to become a great contributor to the business.

Best advice you can give on working in the industry?

Keep learning, have a positive mindset and always think of the clients best interest.
